A lot of customers email us requesting a quote but provide very limited information. Unfortunately it is not like ordering a pizza. There is a lot that goes into building a quote for a true barndominium project. So let's get started.

The Basics
A barndominium (often shortened to "barndo") is a type of home that combines the appearance or structural design of a barn with the functionality of a modern residence. The term is a blend of "barn" and "condominium," although most barndominiums are single-family homes rather than condominiums.

An "All-In-One" is a type of building that has a one or two bedroom apartment inside of it for a mother-in-law suite or a guest house, and it also stores all of your assets under one roof. Too many times people spend weeks getting prices, only to find out the project is outside what the bank will loan them, and then they start all over. Secure your financing first so you know your budget.

Owning the property lets us give you an accurate quote on elevations, setbacks and specific code requirements. Without the land acquired, a reasonable quote is difficult.

Once you have those first three requirements, you are ready to talk. To get a better idea of what you want to build, we need a floor plan and a picture of what your project would look like built.
A lot of companies want you to purchase a set of plans or charge drafting fees for renderings. That's absurd. You don't even know if you want to build a barndominium yet, much less waste money on something you can find online for free. Anything you find online or sketch yourself helps us understand what you want.
